Abstract

This Study Aims To Illustrate The Image Of The Ghouls Contained In The Algerian Folk Tale, By Showing The Most Important Features Of The Ghouls, The Most Prominent Roles Entrusted To Them, Their Significant Influence On The Events Of The Folk Tale, And What Is Reflected In The Child's Psychology, As Well As The Reasons For Invoking The Character Of The Ghouls, And Frequently, In The Algerian Folk Tales.

The Results Of The Research Are As Follows:

- Ghoul Is Present In The Popular Imagination, Especially In The Plot, A Source Of Fear For The Child, The Latter Who Interacts With The Characters Of The Story, And Lives With Her In Her Fantasy World, Full Of Miracles.

- The Character Of The Ghoul Has A Great Influence On The Child's Psyche, And May Remain Entrenched In His Mind Until After The Narrative.
