This Study, Submitted To Al-Waha Algerian Journal, Aims To Analyze The Impact Of Social Media, Particularly Facebook, On The Identity Of Young People, As They Represent The Most Frequent Users Of This Platform And The Most Engaged With Its Content On A Daily Basis. With The Rapid Digital Evolution, These Platforms Have Become A Primary Environment For Reshaping Both Individual And Collective Identity, Whether Through The Nature Of The Shared Content, The Modes Of Interaction, Or The Ways Of Self-Expression. In This Context, Facebook Constitutes A Dynamic Space That Influences Young People's Perceptions Of Identity And Belonging. While It Fosters Communication And Openness, It May Also Contribute To Cultural Identity Confusion Due To Excessive Exposure To Multiple Cultures. This Study Seeks To Explore These Effects—Both Positive And Negative—By Analyzing Youth Usage Patterns Of Facebook And Examining How This Reflects On Their Social And Cultural Identity, With A Particular Focus On The Changes Occurring Amid Rapid Digital Transformations, From The Perspective Of Digital Sociology.
