Abstract

"Travel literature is one of the important sources in the codification of history in its different periods, including the occupation phase, which was known for an unprecedented influx of European and French travelers - in particular - into Algeria , and they contributed to transmitting numerous testimonies, positions and observations. on Algeria under the occupation administration, and these had - of course - multiple and sometimes different goals, some of them visited Algeria for the love of adventure and exploration , such as "André Gide" Some of them went for hospitalization - for example Karl Marx - and others traveled to carry out a mission - like Tocqueville, Guy de Maupassant and Victor Hugo - and others. In this study, we will try to continue the journey of one of the most famous French writers and poets and novelists in Algeria, this is Alphonse Daudet who made a three-month trip to Algeria, more precisely to the capital, Blida. , Miliana and Chleff based on the town of Miliana.
