Customs And Traditions Are Among The Most Prominent Manifestations Of Rapprochement Between Peoples, Whose Dialects Represent A Cultural Heritage And A Social Reserve That Reflects Their Social Reality. Hence, This Aspect Of Peoples’ Lives Must Not Be Neglected.

Language, With All Its Dialects, Occupies The First Place In This Heritage, As It Is A Reflective Mirror Of The Visions And Ideas That Man Has Created. If We Examine This Linguistic Heritage, We Find Vocabulary That We Hear And Admire For Its Eloquence And The Correctness Of Its Use And Pronunciation. Sometimes These Words Are Seen As Strange Or Alien To The Eloquent Arabic Language, But If We Verify Them Lexically, It Proves To Us That They Are Eloquent.

In This Article, We Will Discuss One Of The Most Prominent Areas In Which The Use Of Popular Expressions Circulating In Social Circles Is Evident, Which Is The Field Of Popular Proverbs, As They Are Considered A True Expression Of The Psychology And Ideas Of Peoples. We Chose Popular Proverbs In Circulation, And We Devoted The Research To The Region Of Laghouat And Its Environs, In Order To Conduct An Applied Study Of The Popular Usages Of These Proverbs With An Eloquent Origin, In Order To Demonstrate Through Them The Characteristics Of The Colloquial Lexicon And The Extent Of Its Eloquence.
